San Francisco de Campeche will be the station that facilitates the connection between Campeche and Yucatán.
The construction will be friendly to the environment and will promote the growth of the region.
Campeche is the most important walled city in Mexico, a World Heritage Site.
It is located on the land of the Tehuantepec Isthmus Railroad. The station will be close to the old station and will be part of the urban regeneration project.
The demand for passengers will be intermediate and will have a tourist and social character, considering a 3-lane and 2-platform scheme at the station.
The project aims to unite two parts of the city, the scheme is an X-shaped crossroads where each arm serves as a bridge to communicate the city.
The station has two levels, on the upper floor there will be commercial premises, public equipment and services; on the ground floor will be the technical spaces, services, platforms, the general lobby and commercial premises.
The concept of the X-shaped station and the upper floor are two bridges that, when crossed, achieve this shape.
