Material and medical equipment with a value of one million 575 thousand pesos, for doctors, nurses and personnel who are in the first line of the battle against COVID-19 at the Dr. Manuel Campos Hospital, the Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González received from part of the United States Consulate Mérida.

The consul general and main official in Mérida, Courtney A. Beale, together with the state governor signed a certificate of delivery of three thousand N95 masks, two thousand waterproof kits for surgeons that include gowns, face masks, boots and caps, as well 1,500 surgical overalls; as witness by the person in charge of the USNorthCom Humanitarian Assistance program of the United States Government, Ben Mckenzie, and the Secretary General of the Government, Jorge Argáez Uribe.

“Health is a shared challenge both for Campeche and for all of Mexico and the United States, because the pandemic has no borders, our countries are connected; For this reason, the United States government through the funds of the Act for Economic Assistance and Security against Coronavirus and through NorthCom and the Consulate in Mérida, we gladly support the efforts they are making to combat COVID-19 in the state ”, Courtney A. Beale argued, highlighting  this support is an example of commitment to the Campechanos and with the region.

 Previously, the Secretary of Health, José Luis González Pinzón, specified that in the face of the global health emergency, the coordinated work of the countries is important to guarantee the supply chains can deliver protective equipment to hospitals and health centers those most in need; He expressed his gratitude for the delivery of the medical equipment and material, because the care conditions for the campechanos will be improved, which has been the priority of the Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González.
