In accordance with national  phase 3 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and following up on the agreements reached at the Table for the Construction of Peace with the Executive Power, Petróleos Mexicanos activated from today until next April 30 in the Cantarell and Ku-Maloob-Zaap offshore platforms, a landing protocol for oil workers and contractor companies.   With this evacuation plan, it has been programmed to apply a strict control and monitoring of the health of around two thousand workers who will leave the platforms and of the personnel on duty who will continue working in the marine facilities so that the production of hydrocarbons are not affected.

The preventive landing has the purpose of reducing the possibility of contagions, detecting and giving timely follow-up to cases, reducing the morbidity of workers and maintaining the productive operation.

According to the prevention and control protocol of the COVID-19, prior is leaving the platforms and boarding ships, the workers will undergo a medical check-up and upon arrival at the maritime terminal they will pass through the sanitary filter that  has been  installed in the Isla del Carmen port, to confirm their health conditions and issue the respective recommendations.   For the disembarkation of the workers, 12 boats will be used at 50 percent of their capacity, ensuring compliance with the healthy distance measure, and the use of protective equipment is mandatory between the passengers and the crew.

Cleaning and disinfection of reception rooms and surfaces are carried out permanently in the sanitary landing filter, located in the maritime terminal, before each arrival; it is mandatory for all personnel to pass through the sanitation cabin; the medical service will apply a survey to confirm or rule out symptoms; in the required cases, rapid diagnostic tests will be carried out and those who present risk cases will be immediately channeled to hospital areas.   It is also established that workers in good health conditions must immediately board the designated buses that will take them to their places of origin, and if they live on the island of Carmen, they must go to their homes
