«In Campeche we will not jeopardize the health or safety of students or teachers, so the return to schools on June 1 is completely ruled out,» Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González stated categorically, revealing that the State Health Safety Committee will determine, when there are full sanitary guarantees, when to return to school.
Aysa González asked both parents and mentors to be calm, because regardless of what the traffic light system presented by the federal government is marking for Campeche, the state authorities will decide when to return to work, based on the local epidemiological situation .
He specified while this is taking place, a permanent sanitation program has already been established in the 907 schools in the public sector of preschool, primary, secondary and special, as well as the initial and basic levels of the National Council for Educational Development (Conafe) .
He also added that work is being done to design a plan to comply with the recommendations to maintain healthy distance on campus and to apply hygiene measures among students and teachers .
«There is no need to be alerted to what may be marking the traffic light for the reopening of activities, because in Campeche the State Committee on Health Safety will responsibly decide when to restart work, not putting the population health at risk», the governor said.
