With the aim of continuing to open spaces for the dissemination of art, the Institute of Culture and Arts of the Government of the State of Campeche (ICAECAM) resumes the program of Theatrical Thursday at the El Claustro Cultural Center.
In this commemorative function in honor of the memory and legacy of the Maestro and theater director, Juan Arce Saavedra, three monologues that were directed by him at the time were presented, represented by the actresses Michelle Ruiz and Josefina Pelegrina, the actor Álvaro Herrera; lighting work that was in charge of Marisol Canul, all students of Arce Saavedra.
The presentation began with a documentary video about the passionate work of the director, who was also a trainer of young people interested in theater and creator of this space treasured by the Campechana population.
The head of the State Institute of Culture and Arts, Esteban Hinojosa Rebolledo, mentioned that from now on, Theatrical Thursday will be an open forum in which independent groups that request it can perform and thus have a wide and permanent theatrical offer. .
He reiterated his commitment, in this Government of Layda Sansores, that those who do theater will have guaranteed support and their spaces, and on the other hand, those who are public, will have a wide theatrical offer since this is just one of the projects that there are for promote scenic art in Campeche.
