Through its social networks, the Culture Secretariat of the Executive Power of the State of Campeche (SECULT), will celebrate this International Dance Day this Wednesday, April 29, with two performance that will show the audience one of the most expressive artistic manifestations that combines the mystique of movement, sound or lack of both.
At 11:00 o’clock, you can enjoy the performance of the Great Folkloric Ballet of Campeche during the participation in the Regional Gathering of Folkloric and Traditional Dances of the South Zone held last January in the State of Tabasco, an event organized by the Regional Fund for Culture and the Arts of the South Zone (FORCAZS).
With the colors of their costumes, the Great Ballet will show a tour of the cultural identity of our state, with dances such as «Jícaritas», «Fiesta del Sarao», «Festival del Palmar»; «Pichito amoroso», among others.
At 7:00 p.m., it will be the turn of the Colombian Ballet Company «Incolballet», who performed in 2016 during the International Festival of the Historic Center of Campeche (FICH).
«Dance Pages» is the name of this show where twenty-two talented dancers participate in amazing dances such as «Pax de deux Don Quixote», «Living Symphony», with music by Georges Bizet; «Pilgrims» with music by Tomás San Miguel, among other pieces, all of them under the Artistic Direction of the Master Gonzalo Galguera.
“Incolballet” was founded by the teacher Gloria Castro and is the only professional ballet company in Colombia, with great projection and international recognition.
