The Campeche Carnival, celebrating its 443rd anniversary, is one of the oldest and most emblematic in Mexico and is returning with an edition that promises to overflow with joy, music and color. From February 20 to March 4, 2025, the city of Campeche will be the epicenter of a party that combines tradition, solidarity and unforgettable shows.
The 2025 edition will feature the participation of renowned artists. In addition, many of the activities, such as parades and troupes.
This year, the Saturday of Bando will be celebrated on March 1, starting with the participation of the Band and Batons of the Apolinar Commercial Institute, who will give way to the traditional parade. The route will feature the presence of the allegorical floats that represent the Children and Youth Kings, adding color and energy to this long-awaited event.
The celebration also includes Organized Groups, who, although they do not form troupes, parade performing choreographies that entertain the public. In addition, the participation of creatives in the Individual Costume contest stands out, where imagination and talent become protagonists, adding a unique touch to this tradition of Campeche.
The Campeche Carnival is not only a party, it is an opportunity to enjoy the cultural and gastronomic wealth of the region. From the iconic panuchos to unique dishes such as pan de cazón, visitors will be able to delight in the flavors of Campeche while walking through its streets full of history.
Visiting the Puerta de Tierra, rides on the traditional City Tram and tours along the Campeche Malecón, perfect for enjoying spectacular sunsets, are some of the activities not to be missed in the city. A visit to the San Miguel Fort, where the Mayan Archaeology Museum is located, which houses unique treasures of the region, is a must.
