THE 2020 MEXICAN RED CROSS COLLECTION BEGINS.

With the contribution of Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González, members of the state cabinet and the Judicial and Legislative powers, the Collection of the Mexican Red Cross began today, among public officials, which this year due to the pandemic was postponed and it will take place November 17-20.

At the event, the president of the DIF State System Board and Honorary Red Cross in Campeche, Victoria Damas de Aysa, expressed her appreciation to the organization for the invaluable humanitarian work it carries out and for the exemplary vocation of service that its collaborators have to help the population in emergencies.

In a special way, she stressed the effort of the Red Cross of Carmen, since during the health contingency it has held various events such as sweepstakes, festivals and virtual athletic races with the purpose of having resources and being able to fulfill its task of safeguarding the lives of the people.

«The participation of the Red Cross is essential and humane, fast and effective to attend to those who suffer an accident or are affected by contingencies of all kinds, as occurs in these times of pandemic,» she pointed out, inviting society to give help to the organization.

In the Hall of Governors of the Government Palace, Damas de Aysa stressed that fundraising makes it possible for the institution to have sufficient resources to fulfill its objectives, so that the donation of public servers strengthens their finances.

For his part, the governor offered the full support of his government to the institution and recalled that the medical care services which provides has been strengthened this year,  the Executive Power gave  two new and modern ambulances.

Previously, the state delegate of the Red Cross, Alejandro Azar Pérez, expressed his gratitude to the governor for the support that he has provided to the organization in due time, while pointing out that during the pandemic the delegation’s activities has remained active and has never stopped providing their services, thanks to the volunteers and the support of the society.

He mentioned that everything was ready in March for the annual collection to take place, but it had to be postponed due to the health emergency, agreeing to carry it out from November 17 to 20 with the motto «Today, more than ever we are counting on you ”And giving the option, in addition to contributing in cash, to make deposits to the BBVA bank account 0191278797, CLABE 012050001912787979.

The first to deliver his donation was the Governor Aysa González, followed by the Secretary General of the Government, Pedro Armentía López; the head of the Judiciary, Miguel Ángel Chuc López; the legislator Ana Gabriela Sánchez Preve, representing the Legislative Power; the Secretary of Social and Human Development, Christian Castro Bello and also public authorities of educational institutions and decentralized and autonomous state organisations.
