SECTUR SIGNING AGREEMENT FOR STRENGTHENING TOURIST OF THE MAYAN WORLD REGION MEXICO

With the aim of jointly developing programs for the strengthening and innovation of the tourism product, as well as the promotion and dissemination of the region, the Tourism Secretariats that make up the Mundo Maya México Region (Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo) sign a collaboration agreement.

The Secretary of Tourism, Jorge Enrique Manos Esparragoza, pointed out that it is the instruction of Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González, to establish strategies to promote the attractions of the State; Therefore, the objective of the agreement is to develop joint actions, tending to join efforts for the development of the tourist product, creation of new routes and tourist circuits as well as the strategy of promotion, positioning and dissemination at the national and international level, to generate greater tourist, economic and strengthening activity of the region of the states of the Mundo Maya Mexico.

Within this framework, webinars aimed at the professionalization of the tourism product will be held and community enterprises, new cultural tourism products and nature tourism, among others, will be made known. These webinars will be directed to retail travel agencies, wholesalers, home based agents and generators of travel experiences.

The scheduled dates for the webinars are: Yucatán, August 12, Campeche, August 19, Chiapas, August 26, Tabasco, September 2 and Quintana Roo, September 9.
