In a prolonged meeting of the Table for the Construction of Peace, where Pemex executives were present and a balance of the measures applied to contain the spread of the disease was carried out, the head of the State Executive argued that due to how critical it could become the panorama in Mexico, in Campeche, work continues in unity, reinforcing inter-institutional communication and applying increasingly stringent sanitary measures.
He reiterated that, in order to effectively combat the virus, it is essential that all sectors assume their responsibility and be aware of the serious risk of not complying with the provisions that the health authorities have issued.
“Neither all the medical personnel nor the best equipment would be sufficient to contain the expansion of COVID-19, if we do not have the help of society, employers, workers, and industries; Thousands of lives could be lost just because there are those who do not want to see the hard lesson that the pandemic has given to developed countries such as Spain, Italy or the United States, «he emphasized.
He commented that the new preventive measures that the health authorities have established could become more stringent, in case the rate of infection does not decrease, so he asked all sectors to apply the recommendations.
In the evaluation of the actions, the Health Secretary, José Luis González Pinzón, reported that in the entity the accumulated figure is 63 positive cases, including the 19 workers of the Blue Pionner ship, detected at sea, 146 have been negative and 18 suspects.
