The Health Department of the Executive Power of the State, through the Commission for the Protection Against Sanitary Risks (Copriscam) reports that within the preventive operation to stop the spread of COVID-19 in Campeche, sanitary surveillance actions were intensified on the occasion to celebrate May 10 «Mother’s Day».
The incumbent director of Copriscam, Santiago Rubén Rodríguez Adam, pointed out , despite the recommendation to continue with the domiciliary protection, many people decided to go out which is why health surveillance was reinforced, carrying out extraordinary actions with the following results:
In the period from 8 to 10 May, 27 verification visits were made to pantheons, remaining closed on May 10; 28 verification to flower shops, 14 to municipal public markets, 16 verification to self-service stores, 33 to pastry shops and in general establishments related to the sale of gifts, household appliances, among others.
In total, 1,366 establishments were visited, where 265 posters related the prevention of COVID-19 and hand washing were installed; 446 colloidal silver bottles were delivered to food handling establishments, 13.5 kilos of calcium hypochlorite (chlorine in tablets) were used for the disinfection of water from tanks, cisterns, tanks, and 6,107 people were oriented.
He reported suspension of activities where applied to an establishment in a bakery business, for not fulfilling with the recommendations to maintain the healthy distance, in Pomuch, Hecelchakán.
In all the places that were supervised, he was oriented to wash hands frequently; sneezing or coughing by applying the respiratory label (covering nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or forearm); do not greet with a kiss, hand or hug (remote greeting), also wear obligatorily mouthpiece and promote healthy distance between users.
61 sanitary verifiers from Copriscam, from the Sanitary Operation Management, Health Services Management, Alcohol Control Coordination, Regional Coordination No. 2 from Escárcega, Regional Coordination No. 3 from Carmen and the Development Management participated in this operation. Sanitary.
Commissioner Rodríguez Adam, assured that these actions are with the aim of protecting the health of people over 60 years , pregnancy or an immediate puerperium, with a diagnosis of high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, chronic heart or lung disease, immunosuppression (acquired or caused) kidney or liver failure, as well the people who celebrated this May 10.
