The Comprehensive Port Administration of Campeche (APICAM) continues to apply the containment measures requested by the Secretariat of Health and International Health, to reduce the risks of contagion of Covid-19 in Puerto Isla del Carmen, by redoubling efforts to maintain strict control of all workers entering by foot and vehicle.
The director general of APICAM, Carlos Ortiz Piñera, reported that all vehicle entries into the port area are made through access four, which is operational 24 hours. At this point, three lanes were opened to speed up traffic, after reviewing the units through the sanitary filter.
In access 1, it is only allowed to enter in a pedestrian manner, passing the sanitary filter and security review, in compliance with the International Code for the Protection of Ships and Port Facilities (PBIP).
All APICAM personnel, as well as elements of the Navy Secretariat (SEMAR), the Preventive State Police (PEP) and Customs, have specific equipment, such as the use of mouth covers, gloves and masks, in order to preserve your health and safety, as well as that of all users.
Digital infrared thermometers are used by all users and are mandatory for those entering and leaving the port; also, in the pedestrian crossings, leaflets are distributed, urging the use of antibacterial gel, he added.
Another measure inside the port area is the removal of street vendors to protect people and their families.
Also, as part of the sanitation in the spaces of common use, infrastructure personnel from the Carmen Management permanently clean the handrails, glass, doors and other belongings.
Similarly, informative banners have been placed at the accesses to the port, so that users know the indications, sanctions and new recommendations, to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
