Cd. Del Carmen, Camp. – To improve and strengthen health care services in the state of Campeche, during the COVID-19 health emergency, Petróleos Mexicanos (PEMEX), through its instruments of social responsibility, handed over to the Secretary of Social and Human Development, Christian Castro Bello, representative of Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González, two ambulances with pre-hospital equipment.

This action is part of the efforts made by the General Directorate of PEMEX at the request of the Campeche president, in order to support the population and strengthen emergency care for the pandemic.

During the event, the Health Secretary, José Luis González Pinzón, immediately received the keys to one of the units that will provide services at the “Dra. María del Socorro Quiroga Aguilar ”, from INDESALUD, and the mayor of Carmen, Oscar Rosas González, the corresponding emergency vehicle that will operate the Coordination of Social Welfare of the municipality.

In coordination with the Secretary of Social and Human Development, the Secretary of Health of the Executive Power of the State of Campeche, the Institute of Decentralized Public Health Services (INDESALUD) and the City Council of Carmen, PEMEX fulfills its commitment to social responsibility, which, in In this case, they improve the emergency care services offered to the inhabitants.

The ambulances, donated by the company Demar Instaladora y Constructora S.A. de C.V., are Transit type and are equipped with: mobile stretcher trolley; «D» size portable oxygen tank, with a manometer, pressure regulator and flowmeter with a range between 2 to 15 liters per minute or greater, and a three cubic meter fixed oxygen tank.

At the event, attended by the Secretary for Sustainable Energy Development, José Antonio del Río González, equipment and supplies for prehospital care were also delivered, including: Portable aspiration equipment, binaural stethoscope, aneroid sphygmomanometer, rigid collars, nasopharyngeal cannulas, EPV transfer ventilator 200, vital signs monitor, glucometer, sterile gloves and face mask.

The units that are granted also contribute to the health emergency related to COVID-19. This contribution represents an investment amount of 2 million 111 thousand pesos. These actions are a sign of PEMEX’s commitment to the inhabitants of the communities where the company maintains a presence.
