Today Paloma Cordero died, wife of former President Miguel de la Madrid Hurtado, as announced by Consuelo Sáizar, former head of the National Council for Culture and the Arts (Conaculta).
Cordero stood out for his active participation in the campaign of the then PRI candidate, who accompanied him on his tours of Mexico.
Later, already as first lady, she headed the Integral Family Development System (DIF) and the National Volunteer.

It should be noted that her five children survive her: Margarita, Miguel, Enrique, Federico and Gerardo.
