The largest delegation sent by Campeche in the history of its participation in the Tourist Tianguis, concluded activities in the 2023 edition of this world-class event, in which the representatives of our state established 1,365 business appointments from the 26th to the 29th of March in Mexico City, announced the state head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) Mauricio Arceo Piña.
The Campechana representation was made up of 50 business suites, among which the magical towns of Isla Aguada and Palizada stand out, the tourist offer of the municipalities of Calakmul, Candelaria; as well as the exhibited attractions of Campeche, Dzibalchén, Carmen, Isla Arena, Calakmul and Champotón.
Businessmen from Campeche made known the natural, cultural and historical attractions that our entity has and exchanged proposals with wholesale tour operators, travel agents, tourist associations, incentive houses, event organizers, congresses and conventions.
For his part, the head of the Sectur Campeche, Arceo Piña, held meetings with secretaries of Tourism from the Mayan world region. Likewise, an agreement was signed with the Mexican Association of Adventure Tourism and Ecotourism (Amtave) to establish the mechanisms for promoting nature and cultural tourism.
The exchange of proposals related to the Mayan Train was also carried out, such as the delivery of the study «Campeche-Calkiní Corridor Tourism Development Program». In addition to the signing of collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and the National Fund for Tourism Promotion to develop the tourism development program for Calakmul within the framework of «The Great Ecotourism Route of Mexico».
Finally, Arceo Piña reiterated that Campeche closed its participation in the Tianguis Turístico with successful results by agreeing to 1,365 business appointments, working on the formation of alliances and placing its products in national and international market niches.
