The Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Campeche (COBACAM) leads digital innovation in upper secondary education in the entity, since being a subsystem that provides attention to more than 10,500 students in 37 educational centers, the challenge of giving continuity to their studies to students doing greater merit and relevance.
To face the educational revolution derived from sanitary measures, the COBACAM general director Adlemi Santiago Ramírez, instructed and supervised the methodological adjustments in academic programs and the efficient use of digital communication tools, among which she highlighted the use of the Google Classroom platform, instant messaging, the production of online classes through videos and the organization of virtual meetings with the Google Meet service, in which directors, counselors and teachers answered students’ questions via video call.
To continue innovating in the offer of training content, COBACAM conducts talks, panels and forums through videoconferences on the Google Meet platform, in which invited teachers and specialists impart their knowledge and professional experiences to the students who attend these virtual meetings.
This strategy has had an important impact on the school community, which attends a massive broadcasts scheduled on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm, because in addition to learn, panelists are allowed to ask questions. All the lines of action of the “COBACAM at Home” program are carried out with the commitment of this institution to guarantee the best education in times of change, as Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González has instructed.
The “COBACAM at Home” work program also includes content and training dynamics in which advice, recommendations, activities and consulting sessions are offered to the school community that allow students to interact with the school throughout social networks.
Among the formats that are innovating in the way of bringing the COBACAM experience at homes, are the counseling sessions of the Department of Educational Guidance to which students can go to have personalized psychological attention, as well videos of the Educational Guidance team, where emotional and mental health issues are discussed.
In the academic aspect, COBACAM has shared in its social networks capsules addressing in subjects of English, reading and writing, exact sciences, computer science, physical education, among others, carried out by teachers and head of studies
