The Mayan Train in the South-Southeast region of Mexico covers a singular importance as an economic detonator by creating infrastructure that allows connectivity to improve the marketing of agro-industrial products in the area, and increase the supply of means of transportation, and above all to promote national and international tourism taking advantage of the archaeological zones and beach places. The execution and operation of the Mayan Train means a democratic adjustment to the economic polarization where the South-Southeast was left behind in the economic history of Mexico. The high investment in this work boosts the economy of the national and international private sector, generates employment in the region and allows the reproduction of the internal workforce by creating transportation conditions that give access to recreation areas and enjoyment of culture. . . It is a great success of the State’s intervention in the economy, it allows the development and linking of productive activities.
