The Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González
Meeting in the Table for the Construction of Peace that he held with officials from his cabinet and representatives of the Mexican Armed Forces and Petroleum (Pemex).
During the meeting that took place in the House of Governors, Aysa González evaluated the actions that are implemented in the area of public security and the control measures that the three orders of government have jointly reinforced to mitigate the growth of infections of COVID-19.
The governor, on the one hand, highlighted the coordination work that the various levels of government and the oil company have established with the commitment to take care of the health of the population in this health emergency, and on the other hand, he recognized the work that the police forces and federal forces, the Army, Navy, and National Guard work together to maintain the security of the state.
“The current times demand of each one of us to put the greatest of our efforts and commitments. We cannot and should not skimp efforts or resources for the safety and tranquility of the population, «said the head of the state executive.
Previously, the representative of the Management of Social Responsibility of Pemex in Carmen, Francisco Rivera Cedillo, praised the good coordination that exists with the state government in the application and supervision of health protocols, while affirming that the commitment is to continue collaborating in this way for the protection of the inhabitants and oil workers.
While, the Secretary of Health, José Luis González Pinzón, after informing that in the entity there are, until today, 30 active positive cases of COVID-19; 41 have recovered, seven have died and 14 are suspects, reported that in the municipality of Candelaria an epidemiological control strengthening operation will be launched with six brigades and three more will join the fight dengue, Zika and Chikungunya.
Meanwhile, the Secretary of Public Security, Jorge Argáez Uribe, meant that the closeness with the various state and federal agencies has been tightened, in order to protect the health of the citizens and maintain the environment of social tranquility.
Among the officials who attended the meeting were the Secretary General of the Government, Pedro Armentía López; the manager of Security, Health at Work and Environmental Protection, Pemex Exploration and Production Marine Region, José Antonio Tovar Iglesias, and the director of the Pemex general hospital in Ciudad del Carmen, Valentín Luna Marroquín.
