Avoid crowds and take extreme measures for the celebration of the Day of the Dead
To make a greater effort to avoid a possible outbreak of COVID-19 infection, the Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González call on the Campechanos in a message he sent this afternoon on social networks.
Due the upcoming celebration of the Day of the Dead, the Governor advised to remember loved ones without abandoning preventive measures and avoiding all kinds of crowds in churches, cemeteries and homes.
«We have fought for several months now, this is not the time to lower our guard, let’s all take care of ourselves,» he emphasized recalling that for several weeks the state has remained green on the Epidemiological Risk Traffic Light thanks to the efforts of doctors, health personnel and of the people who have taken care of themselves, as well as the coordinated strategies that various government authority have promoted.
He explained that the appeal is also given by the sustained increase in the number of infected that is observed worldwide and of which Mexico is no exception.
He specified that being green means a great responsibility for society and the government, because to remain at the low risk level it is required that everyone comply with the main preventive measures such as wearing face masks, keeping a healthy distance, constantly washing hands, applying antibacterial gel, and even reduce mobility on the streets and in large gatherings.
“Let’s make a greater effort to avoid a possible resurgence; taking care of ourselves is in our hands. In the face of COVID-19, prevention continues to be the only way to avoid getting infected, «he pointed.
The Governor also made reference to the tropical storm Zeta that will make its effects in Yucatan Peninsula, and for which the green alert has been issued in the approach phase for the municipalities of Calkiní, Hecelchakán, Tenabo, Hopelchén and Calakmul; while for Campeche, Champotón, Escárcega and Candelaria the blue alert was established, of low danger.
He recommended all citizens remain attentive to official warnings, because the climate phenomenon is forecast to strengthen in the coming hours.
