The gastronomy of Yucatan returns toworldwide recognition, once Cochinita Pibil was crowned as the best dish in the world, according to TasteAtlas.
A few days ago, the typical Yucatan dish was among the TasteAtlas semifinalists.
Out of 10 thousand dishes, the cochinita managed to position itself as the favorite for 2021 and, according to the TasteAtlas page, more than 100 thousand votes had to be counted.
This dish of Yucatecan gastronomy ranked first in the world with 4.69 stars.
In addition to rewarding the dish, the page indicates which is the best place to eat suckling pig in the country, the taqueria ‘El Turix’, located in CDMX, as the favorite.
Ccohinita Pibil brings fame to Mexican gastronomy world wide
This title manages to position the gastronomy of Mexico among that of several countries, since in the first 10 places, Brazil managed to position two cymbals on rang two and seven.
