In two months, Campeche will become the first state to have the support of all the branches of the Oxxo store chain to provide immediate attention to men, women and children who require assistance or face situations of threat or risk to their integrity. , since the Ministry of Protection and Citizen Security (SPSC) signed the collaboration agreement with the directors of that company.
During the session of the Table for the Construction of Peace and Security, headed by Governor Layda Sansores San Román, the head of the SPSC, Marcela Muñoz Martínez, stressed that in response to the indications of the president, mutual agreement between the SPSC and the businessmen of the chain that operates the Oxxo stores, to enable their establishments as safe spaces.
In the agreement, the SPSC undertakes to train the personnel of these establishments so that they know how to act and what to do for crisis management and immediate assistance to people at risk.
It is important to mention that since the beginning of the current administration, the Safe Haven program has been implemented, which involves companies of various kinds so that they are a security window for those who are at risk and need a place to wait for the security forces to arrive. for help and protection.
PERMANENT SECURITY ROUNDS
During this Wednesday’s session, the start of a new citizen assistance scheme was also reported as part of the strategies to reinforce security. Since last night, convoys made up of patrols from the SPSC and the National Guard (GN) have carried out constant patrols through the points with the highest incidence of crime in the capital city and the municipality, as was offered at the first security table territorial.
CHANGE OF HEADQUARTERS OF THE THIRD NAVAL REGION
The high command of the Secretary of the Navy determined that Campeche (with the exception of Isla del Carmen) and Yucatán will make up the Seventh Naval Zone. The Admiral, Abraham Eloy Caballero Rosas, commander of the Third Naval Region, specified that this will be so due to the readjustment in the security scheme that is linked to the commissioning of the Olmeca refinery, in Dos Bocas, Tabasco.
Tabasco and Ciudad del Carmen will be the Fifth Naval Zone, and the Third Region will now have its headquarters in the port of Veracruz. All these changes will begin on August 1 next.
