CAMPECHE REINFORCES PREVENTIVE MEASURES IN PORTS BY COVID-19

Following the recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health and in order to minimize the risk of COVID-19 infections, the Port Administration of Campeche (APICAM) under the instructions of the general director, Carlos Ortiz Piñera, reinforced preventive actions throughout the corporate , including the Isla del Carmen, Seybaplaya and Lerma ports.

At the four entrances to Puerto Isla del Carmen, security personnel wear face masks and urge users to use antibacterial gel. For their part, the elements of the State Preventive Police (PEP) request the registration of personnel who enter companies or the Pemex dock; Suitcases, backpacks and other luggage are checked with gloves.

«The call is to minimize contact with users and carry out hand washing after five minutes,» said Ortiz Piñera.

Likewise, all the personnel that work in the APICAM, have an indication that when presenting any symptoms of the flu, cough, fever, body pain or cold discomfort, avoid at all times going to the administrative offices, or in your case, absent from their tasks to avoid contagion to other colleagues.

At the ports of Seybaplaya and Lerma, private security personnel provide, upon admission, antibacterial gel and information on prevention measures.

The head of APICAM reported that it works in coordination and maintains permanent communication with the authorities of the three levels of government, to reinforce or adopt new measures, as required by phase two of the coronavirus contingency.
