Guarantees complete vaccination to the elderly and confirms return to attending classrooms
“We have a very good relationship with the government of Campeche and there are no partisan issues involved; Here, what we care about and what we are working for is the welfare of the people of Campeche; we are putting the general interest, the interest of the people, the interest of the nation above the particular interest, of groups or parties, «said President Andrés Manuel López Obrador during the press conference he led, in the presence of Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González, in the state capital.
After the governor issued a welcome message and highlighted the works and actions implemented in his administration during this stage of the pandemic, López Obrador assured that the majority of education workers have been practically vaccinated, at least with the first dose, and in the same way, approximately 70% the elderly. «I believe that before the end of the month, all elderly persons in Campeche will be vaccinated with their first dose.»
Regarding the start of school activities, he commented that there are conditions for in-person classes to begin in April, with the protocol agreed by both the Undersecretary of Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell; the Secretary of Education, Delfina Gómez Álvarez, and the Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González.
From the facilities of the Third Naval Region, and also in the presence of the Secretary of Interior, Olga Sánchez Cordero, the federal president recognized that Campeche is one of the safest states in the country, while informing that, in this state, in average, seven homicides are committed per month and one femicide per semester.
The president concluded his speech, highlighting that Campeche is one of the most beautiful states in the country and in the world, with hardworking people and full of history, which has archaeological beauties such as Edzná and Calakmul, «the New York of the Mayans.»
For his part, the undersecretary of the Navy, Eduardo Redondo, highlighted that the little crime incidence that exists in the entity is concentrated in the municipalities of Carmen, Campeche and Escárcega and that more than two thousand elements of the federal forces are deployed in the coastline and Gulf of Campeche to carry out security tasks and attend to the health emergency; Likewise, he reported that a total of 133 thousand 675 vaccines have been distributed and 121 thousand doses applied in the state,also adding that the stealing on oil platforms has been reduced by 92.3 percent.
The Secretary of National Defense, Luis Crescencio Sandoval, emphasized that in Campeche there are 190 elements deployed to attend to security issues and those related to the pandemic; Meanwhile, the commander of the National Guard, Luis Rodríguez Bucio, specified that in the state 916 elements have been distributed in two regional coordinations, one in the municipality of Carmen and the other in Campeche, to jointly serve with the other authorities , for whichever emergency.
In the use of the word, the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, pointed out that, to achieve good results in terms of security, coordination and joint work is essential, and a good example of this is Campeche, Therefore, she highlighted the permanent participation of Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González in the meetings of the State Table for the Construction of Peace, where local and federal authorities participate. «Campeche today is the safest entity in Mexico, the work of the government and the support of citizens have generated these conditions,» she concluded.
