In order to face the coronavirus pandemic and guarantee the safety of campechanos, since the beginning of the health contingency the Executive Power of Campeche has maintained close coordination and direct communication with the Secretary of the Interior, Olga Sánchez Cordero and the general director of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), Octavio Romero Oropeza, said Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González.
«We are in constant communication with the federal authorities and we maintain a very close relationship and deep recognition of the work carried out jointly with the three orders of government, in order to protect the population and attend the needs of the sectors more vulnerable ”,
remarked the governor in an interview offered at his Government Palace offices.
Regarding the position to modify the fiscal pact that some governors have proposed, Aysa González made it clear that he respects the opinion of his counterparts but does not share it, because the federal government has supported Campeche in the actions that have been taken to improve Well-being conditions, and specifically in the case of the current health emergency, have worked in a very coordinated way to mitigate the spread of the virus and reduce risks in the population.
The head of the Executive stressed that in Campeche not only federal, state and municipal authorities have joined efforts to ensure the good of the inhabitants, but also the productive sector has given an example of solidarity in these times of emergency, because it is understood that in the midst of a crisis of this nature it is vital to work together.
He stressed that current times require that all sectors and levels of government unite, work in the same direction, be in solidarity and make the best agreements, because what is at risk is the health of Mexicans and the country’s economy.
«We must concentrate on what is essential now to get ahead and, when we have already overcome this emergency, we will be able to attend to other issues that are of national interest. Regarding Campeche, we will continue to work together with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and his cabinet, as has happened since the day I took the office as governor: always in a very respectful and coordinated way, putting aside the interests of políticas parties, since that we understand that the fundamental thing is the safety of the people and that it improves their living conditions ”, he concluded.
