When installing the COVID-19 State Coordinating Center, Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González instructed the federal and state authorities to increase the number of patrols that take place in public places, to urge the people who due to disregard for recreation are returned to their homes with the recommendation to isolate themselves in their homes as a fundamental measure to avoid the accelerated proliferation of the coronavirus.
The president was emphatic in pointing out that the health emergency in the country cannot be taken lightly or with irresponsible attitudes, since the health of the population is at risk.
«Preventive actions have been taking place for more than a month, which have allowed us to be one of the entities with the fewest infections, which is why we remain vigilant and ready to adjust the measures for the good of society and to avoid that the cases multiply as it has happened, unfortunately, in other states of the country and worse still, in other nations ”, he remarked.
Aysa González reiterated that while firm action is taken to prevent coronavirus cases from spreading in the state, his government also gradually implements support measures for those who need the most.
In this regard, he explained that food aid programs are underway for the indigenous sector and closed catch for coastal fishermen, whose delivery has already ended so that soon the support will begin to be distributed among deep-sea fishermen.
He stressed that in support of the local construction sector – one of the most important in the state economic dynamics – 2,400 million pesos will be allocated to public works and, in addition, the required supplies will be purchased from local entrepreneurs.
Likewise, he underlined that through Bancampeche, small and medium-sized companies will receive financing and those that still have outstanding credits will be granted a payment moratorium, should they require it.
The president called on federal and state government agencies to continue working in unity and in coordination so that the results for the good of the population are conclusive.
Previously, the commander of the 33rd Military Zone, Enrique Dena Salgado, explained that the COVID-19 State Coordinating Center has among its functions that of linking inter-institutional efforts, anticipating needs, reinforcing health actions, and guaranteeing free transit in communication channels and the delivery of supports, and supplies. The Secretary of Civil Protection, Edgar Hernández Hernández, will serve as a liaison with the National Contingency Center.
