Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) held the 954 Ordinary session of its Board of Directors in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche. With this, the transfer of the ordinary sessions of this highest decision-making body to the headquarters of the oil company was inaugurated.
In the boardroom of the Playa Norte Building, the CEO of Pemex, Octavio Romero Oropeza received the Secretary of Energy, Rocío Nahle García and the independent directors Rafael Espino de la Peña, Juan José Paullada Figueroa, José Eduardo Beltrán Hernández, Humberto Domingo Mayans Canabal and Francisco Garaicochea y Petrirena, who participated in the making of 17 agreements on issues of the state productive company.
The alternate directors by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, Gabriel Yorio González; by the Ministry of Economy, Francisco José Quiroga Fernández; by the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, Julio César Jesús Trujillo Segura.
Among the topics addressed during five hours of work, Pemex assured that the advances in the Annual Program of Austerity in Expenditure and Use of Resources for Fiscal Year 2020 were discussed; in addition to the Pemex Financial report; the renegotiation of contracts signed in previous periods; reports of the Audit, Human Resources and Remuneration committees; of the Strategy and Investments Committee, among other topics.
In accordance with the decentralization process of the federal government instructed by the President of the Republic, the director general of Pemex, issued orders so that the necessary conditions exist so that ordinary sessions can be scheduled at said headquarters.
