The Integral Port Administration of Campeche, S.A. de C.V. (APICAM), is a company of the Government of the State of Campeche, which received the Federal Government Concession from different ports, authorized port areas and fishing shelters. The vocation of the major ports of Campeche is manifested in the activity of exploration, production and export of oil, which concentrates the maritime port operations of the Port System of Campeche.
As a state API, the port company maintains and develops infrastructure in support of the fishing communities based on the state’s coastline.
The Campeche Port System is integrated with ports, authorized areas, shelters and minor port works that extend along the coast of the state of Campeche in an area that ranges from Nuevo Campechito on the border with Tabasco to Isla Arena almost on the border with the state of Yucatan.
APICAM seeks to consolidate the activity of state ports in a comprehensive system that maximizes the exploitation of oil exploitation in the Campeche Sound and that generates multiplier effects in the state’s economy, supporting fishing communities and the economically active population that It lies on the Campeche coast.
