Governor Carlos Miguel Aysa González expressed his approval for the appointment of Pueblo Mágico that the federal Tourism Secretariat granted today to Isla Aguada, municipality of Carmen, in recognition of its enormous cultural and natural wealth.
«Once again, the beauty of our state is recognized at the national level,» said Aysa González in a message that was transmitted through digital platforms.
He argued that the distinction received commits the authorities to continue working and promoting tourism as one of the most important economic activities.
He also emphasized that Isla Aguada, in addition to being one of the most beautiful towns in Campeche that combines nature, history and culture, is now a new benchmark for the magic that characterizes the country.
«It is a paradise that boasts the most beautiful landscapes and where its good, hard-working and generous people stand out,» he said.
It should be noted that Campeche already has two sites with this denomination, since Palizada was the first to receive it on February 24, 2011.
